Questions of Bible authenticity are common, some examples include, “Can the Bible be proven?” or, “If man wrote the Bible, why should I believe it?” and, “With so many translations, how do I know the original meaning wasn’t altered?”
There are several ways to prove the Bible, but all take time and individual effort to truly study the words of God and their meaning.
“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:20-21 NIV).
Some questions to consider while studying for Bible proof:
- Would God prevent anyone searching with a true heart from learning the truth?
- How can scripture be written hundreds of years later and still be perfect? (ex. Daniel and Revelation)
- Do the scriptures contain facts that agree with common scientific evidence?
